The passing of any great athlete makes us all consider our own mortality. But when that athlete is only in his 50s, and was part of a team that dominated its sport for many years, his passing is particularly poignant.
Dennis Johnson wasn’t always a favorite among teammates and fans. He was reported to be cranky and stubborn, but he managed to get the job done.
