The Lille appeal is binned

Dynamic Backlinks

In Switzerland, French Football Club Lille Metropole protested against the controversial goal won by Manchester United in the Champions League game played on Friday.

Supposedly, Lille players just stormed off the pitch, when they felt that the game was unfairly played. This in turn has invited severe criticism on all sides, for a game is a game, and no players have the right to simply go away from the pitch in protest, when the match is still being played!

UEFA has stated that an investigation would be launched into the players’ behavior, but Lille has already registered a complaint against the goal and against the referee, claiming that he had made a technical mistake in allowing the free-kick to be taken without having blown his whistle beforehand and asked for the game to be replayed.
